On Friday 20 May the students of the Belgrade University Faculty of Law had the opportunity to visit the Securities Commission of the Republic of Serbia. The students were received by the Commissioner Mr Milko Stimac, PhD who presented the beginnings of financial literacy in Serbia and explained how the stock exchange and the capital market had been created.
Illegal provision of investment services by PS Invest
In the course of the supervision proceeding conducted by the Republic of Serbia Securities Commission it has been established that a joint stock company by the name of PROFESSIONAL STOCK INVEST a.d. Beograd illegally provided investment services without a license issued by the Securities Commission. This company illegally accepted and forwarded trading orders for sale of financial instruments.
New BDC Liquidity Rulebook in force
A new capital liquidity rulebook for broker-dealer companies was passed by the Securities Commission on 8 April 2016. The Rulebook was published in the Official Gazette of Republic of Serbia on 13 May 2016 and came into force on 21 May 2016. It shall be in application within the time period of six months of the day of its coming into force.
