Rapid development of financial technologies has been a challenge for regulators worldwide. With the goal to tackle this issue, the International Organization of Securities Commissions (IOSCO) has formed its global FinTech Network – a multidisciplinary body with members coming from more than 50 jurisdictions, and Serbian Securities Commission (SEC) is set to take an active role in it.SEC will be represented in the Distributed Ledger Technology work stream.
Notification of the AML/TF Serbian national risk assessment
The Republic of Serbia Government adopted a document on Money Laundering and Terrorism Financing Risk Assessment at its session on 31 May 2018. The overall money-laundering risk has been assessed as medium. It is a result of the assessment of ML threats combined with the assessment of the national vulnerability in this respect. The risk assessment was a basis for devising the Action Plan for Implementing Recommendations from the Risk Assessment of Money Laundering and Risk Assessment of Terrorism Financing. Filing of information through the Electronic Submissions Gateway extended
The hours when it is possible to file information using the Commission's Electronic Submissions Gateway have been extended to 6 PM. The Gateway accepts filings in the period between 9 AM and 6 PM, on work days. The Securities Commission Electronic Submissions Gateway was developed and launched for easy and quick electronic filing of regulated information by persons required by the Law to file the regulated information with the Commission.
