The RS Securities Commission adopted a decision to enter into the Register of Investment Funds a new investment fund – Intesa Invest Cash Dinar. The new investment fund Intesa Invest Cash Dinar is managed by the investment fund management company Intesa Invest. The fund has been organized as an open-end investment fund – a money-market fund. The money-market funds invest at least 75% of their assets into money market instruments, i.e. cash deposits in banks, in accordance with the Law on Investment Funds, Rulebook on Investment Funds and their prospectuses.
Changes and amendments to SEC rulebooks
On 29 September 2018, the changes and amendments to several Commission rulebooks came into force. The following rulebooks have been changed or amended: the Rulebook on operating requirements for investment fund management companies, Rulebook on rules of conduct for investment firms when providing investment services and the Rulebook on Supervision. The rulebooks have been altered in order to comply with the provisions of the new Law on the Protection of Financial Service Consumers in Distance Contracts and the Law on Financial Collateral.
A presentation held on the National Risk Assessment
On Friday, 28 September, a presentation was held on the ML/TF National Risk Assessment as well as the Action plan for Implementing Recommendations from the Money Laundering Risk Assessment and Terrorism Financing Risk Assessment. The event was organized by the Ministry of Finance, Administration for the Prevention of Money Laundering and held on the premises of the Serbian Bank Association. Goran Kuprešanin, representative of the Securities Commission presented the results of the National Risk Assessment and vulnerabilities of the financial system from money laundering, putting special emphasis on authorized banks and custody banks.
