The Securities Commission of the Republic of Serbia, in cooperation with the OSCE Mission to Serbia, organized a workshop on digital assets last week. The workshop brought together representatives of state institutions, relevant ministries, and the private sector, with the aim of enhancing knowledge and exchanging experiences in this field.
At this workshop, special attention was given to the legal framework and regulatory challenges associated with digital assets. The discussion also covered best international practices and their potential application in the local context, aiming to ensure market security for digital assets and to maximize transparency among service providers related to digital tokens.
The workshop was opened by the Secretary of the Securities Commission, who emphasized the importance of continuous education and cooperation between the public and private sectors to develop an efficient and secure digital asset market. Representatives from the OSCE Mission to Serbia shared their views on global trends and the importance of international cooperation in this field.
The workshop provided all participants with a deeper understanding of the complexities and challenges of digital assets, as well as the opportunity to identify specific steps to improve the local regulatory framework.
The Securities Commission will continue to organize similar events in the future, aiming to further enhance the knowledge and skills of all relevant market participants and to achieve high standards in the field of digital assets.
